After over a year without solo releases, and a seemingly quiet social media presence, Nicki Minaj has finally returned with two new singles for her fans.
“Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li” arrive more than a year after the femcee dropped tracks like “Regret in Your Tears,” “No Frauds,” and “Changed It.” The two tracks will appear on her unnamed upcoming album and she appears to be thoroughly fulfilled by the work she’s done thus far.
“This is the best album of my life that I’ve ever created,” Nicki said in an interview with Zane Lowe, also crediting her social media hiatus with allowing for more focus on creating music. “I think that things that I won’t get into right now, I think those things took my focus away from music for a very long time. So I think I’ve been working on this album since December… Some songs were written a year and a half ago.”
